The research project evaluated how heterogeneous retired EV battery packs can be qualified, controlled and integrated in one stationary energy-storage architecture without dismantling packs into modules.

Demonstration project
Whole-pack BESS with a self-developed EMS
This demonstration project integrates qualified retired battery packs with CycleWatt control and energy-management capabilities. The system includes a reserved position and electrical interface for future photovoltaic integration; photovoltaic panels are not currently installed.
